Eugene Kandel

Eugene Kandel

Eugene brings a wealth of experience in economics, government, finance, and strategic planning. He combines academic rigor as a Professor of Economics and Finance with extensive global practical experience, having designed key policies and facilitated major international partnerships with the US, China, UAE, Singapore and Jordan during his tenure as the Head of the National Economic Council and Economic Advisor to Prime Minister. He has also advised numerous countries and corporations independently, as well as in his role as CEO of Start-Up Nation Central. His vision for ISFI is to harness this diverse experience to ensure that Israel's strategic future is not overshadowed by day-to-day routine.

Ron Tzur

Ron Tzur

Ron brings extensive experience in structural reforms and strategy in both the government and the private sectors. During his tenure with the Israel Atomic Energy Commission and later as Head of reform at the Civil Service, Ron developed a deep understanding of large government systems and an innovative approach to solving structural challenges. As the Founder and CEO of Sparks Consulting Group, he developed a unique blend of strategic public sector innovation. Ron favors a risk management approach to Israel's existential challenges, aiming to catalyze significant structural and strategic changes to ensure the nation's future.

The Institute

Israel Strategic Futures Institute was established as a think tank and partnership space for designing strategic and structural solutions to the existential challenges of the State of Israel. This initiative is a-political which is designed to deepen the public debate regarding the existential challenges that threaten the State of Israel. The institute works to promote cooperation between people, organizations and civil movements to create a common denominator as broad as possible to implement structural changes in the system of governance in Israel. The purpose of these changes is to ensure the existence of Israel as an independent, safe and prosperous country for generations as a home for the Jewish people.
